. The monthly meeting of the Board of Governors of the' Wellington Boys' College and Girls'-High School lvasheid yesterday, there being present: The chairman (Mr. A. do B. Brandon), and Messrs. H. Lee, ;A. Warburton, T. M. U'ili'ord, M.P. ■■-.■■;■ ■".■'.■.'. ...':■■,'. According to the monthly statement of finances there ' was ■' shown a credit balance, on paper, of £3349 Is. 9d. Payments required totalled £710 12s. 3d. Prospective receipts' included outstand-: ing fees for. .the third term and arrears for the' previous'ternis totalling £1918 12s. lid., and outstanding rents amount ing to £370 11b. lid., an' aggregate total of £2239 4s. 10d., which, added to £1059 6s. 6d., balance in hand; after payments duo had been made, brought tho prospective balance to-credit up to £3349 Is. 4d, Included in tho amounts '•'outstanding. fees, third tdrm," . was a sum of £1465 _ 17s. 5d., .-.duo from tho Government with respect to free-place pupils.. '
. Arrangements were authorised to be made for the annual prize-giving ceremonies at eaoli of the colleges. : On December 9. His Excellency the Governor is to be .invited to "attend.. In connection with" the function at the Girls' College, the chairman was authorised to arrange for a suitable hall, the Assembly Hall at the Girls' College being too small- for the accommodation of tho Visitors. .-.
