SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Rain lias fallen in all parts of the country, except in somo iKirtß on the East .Coasts- of both islands that havo .experienced warm, north-westerly winds, which had passed over the mountains and already parted with raoisttiro on their windward slopes. Gales havo been reported to-day in parts of Cook and Foveaux Straits, but moderate to strong northwesterly winds havo prevailed generally. The barometer has risen in the south. Present indications arc for showery and changeable weather, and moderate to strong westerly winds generally.
