At the annual conference of Australasian fruitgrowers, amongst resolutions carried was one in favour of clean fruit ex orchard being admitted to the port of entry without fumigation.' ■. .. . '.■■' ■, Mr.; H. B. Izard, of New Zealand, declared that if fruit was not fumigated it must bo critically examined. Any attempt to'have the fumigation regulations lightened in New Zealand would meet with little/support from the Department of "Agriculture.'. .

October' 27, 9.20' p.m.) Melbourne, October 27, ; At the Fruitgrowers' Conference it was resolved not to entortain the proposal of the Shipowners' Federation to allow- ehippers half the amount of ullages.
