FOUR SUSPICIOUS DEATHS,

'; London, October 26.Mr. John Burns, President of the Local Government Board, announced that four deaths, suspected to be due to plague, occurred at Freston, a small village in Suffolk, between September 16 and 29. There have been no cases since.
Bacteriological examination showed three dead rats and a hare to bo infected with plague.
Stringent steps have been taken for the extermination of rats, .and other precautions are being observed.
