The judging was fairly/-'consistent with the awarding at the Hawke's. Bay Show, but, while .the cow championship at both shows went to, Mr. W; T. ANGORA GOATS/ . A division was provided'for the "blackberry cradicators," but only two were entered. Mr. Fred. Parker, of Belvedere, was the exhibitor, and obtained a'first' prize with each. '■.-'■ DAIRY PRODUCE. The exhibition of dairy produce was a really excellent one. Tho cheese display was tho finest ever put>on in Carterton, there being six tons of it tabled. The quality has always been good, but, this year, the quantity is greater than ever, and ; it is satisfactory that new factories are coming into the competition. The quality was stated to be quite-equal to that shown at the Palmerston North Winter Show. ; The importance of the district in the vicinity of Carterton as a cheese-producing area is .widely known, and it is to the credit of the district referred to that, from it, such a great exhibit was collected. The butter was not quite so great as usual in quantity, but the quality was very-fine.
