"Vol-, tite," it is stated, will' silver a -brass tap in a-few seconds. All-that has- to bo done is to thoroughly clean the top, moisten a rag: with' water, dip it into the "Voltite" powder, and rub, it smoothly o'ver the -entire surface. A chemical action is set upiby the conjunction of the metal, the' powder, ana the water,'which results in a' film'; of silver being spread over the article treated. A demonstration as to how "Voltite" should be applied and • what lit is capable of doing is being given daily in Sl'Lean and Archibald's shop in Willis Street'., "Vol\tite" is an Auckland patent, and is being manufactured by Messrs. Firth, Jlosse and C 0.,. metallurgists, of that city.
