THE SCHEME DEFERRED.
Several yeeks ago Mr. H. . Graham, of Dannfcvirke,, endeavoured' to' introduce an agricultural competition wliich would hare .been new and, if worked on practical lines, interesting, and probably valuable. He proposed that the Daune..virke'A. and P. Association should institute a contest between on the basis of hdw much butter-fat their lands yielded per acre; The proposal has not yet been thorc uglily discussed,, and at least that much seems due to it. . . The latest reports state' that the matter .lihs been left ■ over; till nest.jear, "owing to the lack, of support offered."
