Vancouver, October 23. , Tho balloons Azurea, Dusseldorf 11, and America 11, which took part in the race from St. Louis, are missing. --It iel believed tlioy have been lost in the forests of Northern Canada. Belief expeditions start to-day. " ; ' ' Later. Tho missing Dusseldorf' II landed at ICislcisink, Quebec, the distance covered being a world's record. The Azurea landed at Besco, Ontario. The aeronauts on the America II are believed to have landed on an island in Lake Huron. . ; ' NEW,YORK MEETING. New York, October 28. The : English aviator, Mr. GrahameWbite, aviated one hundred kilometres in two hours, talcing first prize in tho distance contest here. Mr., Moissant, the American aeroplanist, flew along a distance of twenty miles across country in a thick fog. Ho steered by a compass. ■ ■- , There was rain and a sharp east wind, and no records .wore made.
