An explosion at the East Oriental and Glanmire mine, Gympie, killed two men named William Wallace and Patrick Dumao^ They had charged a number of holes, and after the explosion returned. One hole, however, must have missed firo, and it 'exploded with terrific force, hurling the men thirty feet in the air, and inflicting fearful injuries on them. They died almost immediately.
