Haldane, Secretary of Stato for War, has arranged to purchase the military airship Clement Bayard 111, which recently crossed tho Channel from ■ France, subject to final tests. THE ST; LOUIS RACE. MISSING BALLOONS. (Rec. October 22, 5.5 p.m.) Ottawa, October 22. Tho Balloon Germania, which landed in Quebec Province, after the race from St. Louis, has probably established a record by covering a distance of 1195 miles. ..-■'■ Alarm has been .caused because three of the balloons. in the race have not been heard from.
