MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
There/was a large audience at the Missions' to' Seamen' Institute 'last evening,' when the weekly ambulance meeting was held.':' The mission'cr ; (Mr. ■: James Moore) gave several demonstrations showing how •to bandage a scalp wound,' 1 bleeding arteries,' a burned face, and 'various other accidents. He also gave ; several useful hints relating to health matters: Competitions in connection with first-aid were hold, and won by sailors from ships in port. Elocutionary items were given during the evening by Messrs. Tingey, Girdlestone, Carroll, and Bond.- The ■were accorded a' hearty vote of thanks.,
