KARORI RIFLE CLUB.
'A special general meeting of "the KaronKifle Club was held last evening in•the Garrison Hall, Buckle Street, Mr. 1 H! Marshall presiding ovor an attendance of about twenty. : .C j v Tho object of the meeting, said' the chairman, was to consider"the advisability of ; raising the pTesent shooting standard of .the club!' At present the scratch men had the advantage. It was decided, after considerable discussion, to adopt the following standards in future:— 'Range, 200 yards standard, 33; 500 yards, 32; GOO yards, 31,' 800' yards, 31; 000 yards, 28; 1000 yards,.; 26. •.; -.', ' A letter was received from the Colonial Ammunition Company, Auckland, stating that it had decided to present a shield for competition amongst rifle club champion teams only; at the next Trentham meeting. '•'■ '•';■-. .'.■■' It was resolved that thp president and deputy-president- Wait itpbn the range committeo to endeavour to get matches at the 300 yards,range. •■.
