Dr. Deck, of the South Sea Evangelical Mission, in. a letter, gives an interesting account of the discovory, whije exploring the Island of Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands, of the tones of the mcmborß of the Austrian soiontifio party under Baron von Jtforbeck, which, was muidered fourteen years ago. While climbing a mountain tho baron and his party wero surrounded by hordes of natives, by whom they were killed. Tho natdvos afterwards ate five members of the part}', including Baron von Norbcclc, and a midshipman named de Beaufort, The bones were found scattered about among overgrown vegetation.
