Arrangements are also proceeding apace for the convention which Dr. Jowett is to hold in Newcastle from November 7 to 10. This convention is for the Northern Counties—Cumberland,Nortliumber- ■ land, and' Durham., Another convention has been, arranged ' at' Blackpool, from December 5.t0 8, and on this occasion the Rev. Charles' Brown, Gipsy Smith, and 'Rev.' Thomas Yates wiil take part. The West of England' Counties will be. served by the convention Dr. Jowett is to hold at Plymouth, early in January,' 1911, when ho is to be assisted by IJevs.; D. . Jones, Harry Bisseker, Thomas' Phillips, and Gipsy Smith. -. This series of conventions will conoludo with, the meetings at Leicester, for the Midland Counties, from February 6to 9. Dr. Rendel Harris, and Rev. W. Charter Piggott will be among; the speakers.. Tho council has made a ' number of ■ fixtures on.behalf' of Gipsy Smith.
