■■•' , PRESENTATION AT PETONE. . The Rev. C. T. Horan's mission .it St. Augustine's, ketone, has made 'a very deep impression.-- On' Sunday evening every extra seat that oould.be put in was occupied,- and numbers of, people stood in the porches. At the men's service on Sunday afternoon nearly thirty men'went 'forward to the chancel :'stops; to., receive resolution .cards, and upwards of 130. persons have come.forward in .midway. ..to show their decision'to lead'a'truer ■Chris-' tian life; There were .160 communicants on Sunday morning, and the attendances at the daily celebrations have been most encouraging. The'chnrch was quite full ■for the thanksgiving service ;on Monday evening,. the ' Missioner's last, messago being from Eph. vi., 10:' "Finally, my brethren,'bo'.strong in the. Lord. and in the power- of His might.".; ; MrifHoriin.. warmly thanked the. vicar and Mrs. Russell, the organist, and choir, tlio, churcliT wardens and sidesmen, , and.: the parish workers who liad so well prepared, the way '-for and ■ helped during the mission. The thank-offering amounted to .nearly ,£lO. After the service a 1 large number, of those .who had received blessing: duringthe mission crowded into the yojmg.men's room, and Mr.-W. IV;Cheeseman then presented Mr. , Horan . with.Va handsome rug, made.at the Petone Woollen Mills, as a slight expression of the. gratitude of the parishioners. ■ . .' . r '.'! .
