LONDON MERCHANTS' OPINION. London" merchants have never had nrach sympathy with either mail service jvial America, and the announcement of the re-estabhshment of the service in the London press prior to the closing'of the mail just in, has called for no commendation. 1 One firm, writing to correspondents, and ' commenting on the promised transit in thirty-two days from Auckland, questions, the accuracy, and claims that in aotual praotice the mail dosing at Auckland oa Ootober 22 could only leave San Franoisco on Sunday, November 13, New York on, November 19, and reach-London in time for delivery on Monday morning, November 28, i.e., in thirty-eight days; whereas , the Suez mail, leaving Wellington on* October 21, would' arrive with tried punctuality on Friday, November 25.
