PHYSICS LABORATORY.
- TO BE OPENED BT THE GOVERNOR. •'■
The physios laboratory at Victoria College, which is to bo opened to-nigh* by his Excellency the Governor, is not entirely new, but is now for the first time really equipped. It occupies the basement rooms of the college building, and comprises, besides a large machineroom containing lathes and other apparatus, three or four rooms for work in physics, electricity and magnetism. Though not largo, tho laboratory as a. whole is regarded as good under all the circumstances.
Tho formation this evening will begin at a quarter past 8. His Excellency will be received by the chairman of the Victoria College Council (Mr. H. F. von Hoast), and the chair? man of the Professorial Board (Professor H. B. Kirk). The Victoria College Officers' Training Corps will furnish the guard of honour. The tybora?: tory -n ill bo inspected, and later in the evening the chemical, biological, and geological laboratories will be open, and" students will probably be working there.
