The Tainui Football. Club held their annual "social" oh Wednesday' night,.in tho Town Hall, where tlioro was a large gathering. The hall was nicely decorated with bunting, nikaus, and arum lilies. Handsome trophies, presented by Mr. H. Nicolson (a miniature-gold football, engraved), and engraved gold medals from Messrs. Alex. M'Clelland and J. Johnson were awarded respectively to Messrs/ R. M'Call Ejid' .J; King, (forwards) and D. Wilson (back). Mr.fNicolson (patron of the club), made' the presentations, referring in 'complimentary terms, to 'the success'of the club. He also presented to Mr.: George Gordon (coach) a handsomelyframed enlarged photograph 'of. the' team. - Mr. Alf. - Knight; who ,is leaving Manakau, was presented_ on ; Saturday night: by his; fellow residents with , a suitable memento. ,
