A very pleasant little function took place yesterday, when Mrs. Gill, the president - of the Free Kindergarten. Union, and the ladies of the Central Coinmittee met to present Mrs. Montague with a pair of solid silver specimen vases' in appreciation of her gratuitous services in connection with the Flower Pageant. The secretary of. the-.union was also • instructed; to write to Mr.. Frank Johnstone thanking him and his pupils for so kindly and, freely giving their services for nothing at the same time. . Mr. E) M. Evan, who has been for,.three years in the Springfield Trairiing' School, and- is shortly to be secretary of the Boys' Department of .the Wellington Y.M.C.A., -was married on August 23 at his home in Irelarid.
