As these clauses were retrospective they' made provision for an ; appeal by oxCaptain .Kny vett. / Sir Joseph Ward .was approached today and asked to explain further this hew provision, but ho said ho would defer explaining tho procedure of the new tribunal until to-morrow. _ Mr. ; Massey,;.Leader, of the Opposition, informed a Dominion represents tivo that he considered the new' provision superior ' to. the one it. was superseding. Auckland' mem-' bera. must watch carefully, however, to ensure that the provision was made, retrospective so 'as to include ox-Captain Knyvett. '. A suggestion has been made by one of tho Auckland metabers / that Mr/ Northcroft, ex-S.M.j' would .make an . excellent . Advocate-General, as he has both tho legal and military [knowledge.
