MR. HINE'S CHARGES.

0 : EXTRAORDINARY PROPOSAL BY . THE PREMIER. . During the sitting of tho Houso of Representatives yesterday the Primo Minister gave- notice' that ■on nest sitting day he would. move that the following allegations made by Mr, Hino, M.P. for Stratford, during; the debato on the' Financial Statement oh August 10, concerning purchase of. private estates by 'the. Land' Purcliaso Board for the purpose of close, settlement, should, together with any other allegations or a similar nature against members of Parliament, tie referred to the Lands Committee for investigation , and 1 report:—.; No. 1, that an M.P. acted as ■ agent for the vendor and. received a. commission.. . No. 2, in connection .' with ,-the- . purcliaso of an estate, two ;M.P.'s ; acted -in collusion and received a, ■•commission. No. 3, an M.P. divided a commission with a land agent. No. <4, an M.P. received a huge -commission, running into four figures, for acting as agent. ~ . ~ _ These cases are all in connection with the purchase of land-by . the Stato. : , Mr. .Massey: To whom?'
