.SOME, FORMAL BUSINESS. Legislative Council, met at 8 o'clock last night, and'disposed of some formal business, which occupied a little moro than five minutes. The Christ's College (Canterbury) Bill and the Wanganui Church Acre Bill' were received from the-iHouse of,' Representatives;' and read a, first time: The second readings of both Bills were set down for, Wednesday next. .<lt. was decided that the 'amendments brought, down by Governor's Message to the :Public : Debt Extinction' Bill, and the amendments to the Foreign Insurance Companies "Amendment ;Act should be considered (to-day.-.' The-report of the committee of the,House":of Representatives on,the. Crimes Amendment Bill; was brought forward, and consideration; of the report was left oyer until to-day.
