i ; MONTHLY MEETING. . The monthly meeting of the Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was hold yesterday, there being present: The chairman (Mr. J. ,G. W. Aitken); Miss M. Richmond, and Messrs. H. Baldwin, J. E.'Fitzgerald, William Galloway, B. It. Gardener, J. Godber, A. : H. Hindmarsh, R. C. Kirk, G; T. London, J. W. .M'Ewan, D. ,M'Lareh, F. T. Moore, J. Smith, W. Tompsitt, the Uov. H. V.iu Staveren, and tho Rev. W..-A. Evans. ' j- ' • • HOSPITAL COMMITTEE. : 0n the . recommendation of the Hospital Committee: -Nurse 0., Mitchell's resignation was accepted; Sister-,Webber's resignation as sister at Otaki Sanatorium was also accopted, and Sister Pollard appointed in : her place. Mr. A. H. Hindmarsh was appointed a' ('representative on the Einanco and Property Committee, vice' Mr.. G. T. London; who has taken, the late Mr. J. J. Devino's place as treasurer. The services of tho collector, Mr. R. Brown,'were retained for another three months. ■ With , reference to an application made through - Miss Maclean, Assistant-In-spector of. Hospitals, to: allow two Roman .Catholic Sisters to '.undergo'* a course. of; training at the Hospital, as :they . are not 'permitted. to wear the Hospital regulation uniform while on duty, 1 the committee, regretted that the application could' not be acceded to. ' "'■No further action was taken re -the r application of the I'etone Van. Committee for a grant towards its' funds. ; • - Tbero being no tenders received for the supply of drugs, the Medical.Superintendent ;.was authorised to 1 continue purchasing in tho open market. . Maintenance accounts, amounting to £104 3s. 6d.' and £634 9's. 7d., were written off.. , FINANCE ::V:On;': the recommendation of ' the ,Fin 7 ance; and.. Property' Committee: ' '.'" The. tenders of the Westport. Coal ;Company,v Ltd., ; and S. :Brown,- Ltd., wero accepted for the supply of coal, each firm to supply iu equal quantities alternately.. : J- ■, i. Tonders': for tho supply of 'linoleum for : the infectious ■' Diseases • Hospital wero. received -from the following firms: iFielder,' Kirkcaldie , and Stains, Ltd.j-George and George, Te Aro House, Ltd., i Ltd., George and Kersley, Ltd. That of H.: Fielder, being the- lowest, -was accepted. were also received.. for the supply: of rbbfiiig iron, and spouting: for' repairs to. the ,Hospital,from the following : firmsßriscoe. .and Co., Ltd.,, Stewart Hardware,.,. Company,' J. Duthie, ! Coi,; ; LM!i ; Tl.
