FIRE IN THE CITY.
At 1.13 yesterday, the Fire Brigade received a. call ;to "the,/' Princess Theatre •Hotel,.Tory Street!.' : -A:fire'had originated in. tho storeroom, which w-as'burnt-out,-, and,' in addition, a sitting-room aiid liarparlour were, also daniaged,' The.hotel is owned by Mr-.'Boyd,, of Sydney,,' and .the' licensee is Mi - . Robert Allen.-The building, and contents were insured,'the offices concerned being the .Royal .Exchange, Commercial, Union, \. and-the United Insurance. ■', ..';.' ~,; . About a quarter past 8 o'clock' last night the brigade was" summoned'to 106 Clyde Quay to a house .occupied by; Mr.'. Geo! W.' O'Connor. The outbreak originated among some chaff bags iu. a'stable at the' side of tho house, but, owing to the prompt arrival of the brigade,'it was suppressed in tho incipient stages, without any material damage-being done. The insurarico on the house .was ,£3OO in the Commercial Union office, and on the furniture in the same office.'- •'• . .•• ■
