CENTRAL MISSION.
A bright and interesting service was held,at the-King's Theatre last night in connection with the Central Mission. The Silver Band played three excellent selections—The "Hallelujah Chorus," from the "Messiah," "Star of Hope," and "Eventide" (variations on the. hymn "Abide With Me").' Mr. T. C. Newton, assisted by the choir, sang "The Sinner and the Song." The Rev. E. 0. Blamires, in his address, described the voyage of the Disciples over the liako of Galilee and compared it with the voyage of life. He showed, how the experience of the Disciples in the storm and their .experience when' the Saviour said to the waves and winds: "Peace, be still," wero like the story of the. soul first without Christ and then witli Him. Next Sunday Mr. Blamires will change places With his brother, .-the-Rev; E. P.. Blamires, of Blenheim, who actively interested hiniself soino time ago in the amalgamation'of the Central Mission with the Methodist' Church.
