All Saints' Children's Homo benefited to the .extent of £24 10s. from the efforts of a number of children belonging to AH Saints' Church, who held a sale of work in the Sunday school-room last night. The young people. got the goods together themselves, and are to be complimented on the admirable work they have accomplished. Nurse Mander, who has been compelled by ill-health to resign her posias district nurse, was farewelled by a large number of members of the , St. John Ambulance Nursing Division, at the residence of Mrs. Mowlom, superintendent. Keen regret was expressed that Nurse Mander was compelled to leave the district for the reason stated, the change from constant indoor nurs-' ing to the strenuous life of attending to outdoor patients all over the district at all hours of day and night having proved too much for her.
