A CONFERENCE. ■ FEDERATION' OF APIARISTS. ' . The growth of the honev-produoing industry within the Dominion ,;has re•sulted in a federation of certain associations of. beekeepers. . Yesterday morning a conference of' representatives of beekeepers' associations was opened in the Dominion' Museum. ;Theroi; . were present Messrs. R. Carpenter, C. A. Jacobsen (Canterbury), B. G. Etlwards (North Otago), H. "\V. Warchope (South Tara-naL-i), H., Bt. Shaw (AVaikato), G. Stevenson, J. B. Adams .(Poverty Bay), l T. W.' Kirli' (Director.-.; of" the .. State Apiaries' Division),- and \Y. 8.'.-Bray. (State. Bee .'lnstructor).'. ' Mr. .Carpent-er was elected chairman. Federation to ba Formed. .Mr. Adams moved that a.federation of' all beekeepers' associations in the Dominion be effected by tbo. associations affiliating with .one Body to be. known as the National, Federation. of Beekeepers. .. . was carried. ■ , ,Mr.,; Shaw .moved, and Mr. Warchope seconded, - that the .'.federal council shall ( .consist of 'orie member, frrbm each associatioiij. to . be;. electedannually, " who must .vote either : in .person or.;by. proxy; 110 member: to have, more than . one vote.- The .'proposal was , carried. , It ; was resolved " that the .federal council shall arrange a conference during tho.winter months in.each year.. > Each , association', is to. contribute,, a sum equal , 'to >; one ;, shilling iper.. member.per. annum. • • Mri AV; B.
