Great excitement was caused in the neighbourhood of the Yosemite Falls in. California which, after having been almost dried up by the drought, were restored to alarming activity with appalling suddenness by a cloud-burst. A great wall of water swept down with a tremendous roar which could be. heard for miles away, r The occurrence created panic among the guests staying at the hotels in the vicinity, but fortunately no one was injured.
