Several German newspapers are protest-'' ing against'the suggested exchange of the two Englishmen Brandon and- Trench, who .were' recently arrested at Borkuiu, Hanover, on charges of espionage, for Lieutenant Helm, of the German army, similarly arrested at Portsmouth.
They , state that ,the Englishmen were really dangerous - spies, but that Helm was merely a harmless amateur. ■./
