LAWN TENNIS.
THE PETONE CLUB. Tho annual report to bo presented at the meeting of the Petone Tenniß Club on Monday night states that last season was.'.tho most successful experienced for a.number.of years, tho club having a credit balance of £23. The membership, has also increased. The teams (2) which entered in the competitions did well, the cup team only losing one match. The courts were improved last season, and players this year will experience the benefit of the changes made. It is expected that the opening day will be fixed for. some date about the end of the month, or the beginning of the month following.
