There is fair inquiry for wheat for shipment to tho United Kingdom on a basis of 3s, 2d. at country stationo for fair average quality. Tuscan is selling more freely than any other description for shipping purposes, as pearl is wortii more money for local miUiug. For the time being millers are practically out of the market, and are only buying'specially suitable lots if offered. . The Home market is reported as easier, and, at present, sales cannot be effected at late rates. It is stated that, so far, shippers have not made anything out of ■ wheat sent to London, and, at bosx sales,, have only cleared cost, whilst, in other cases, business has resulted in loss. The best price obtained is stated to bo -34s.'Cd.; , 'but this did not have a profit on the price paid for' the wheat. Among, the, sales were a large line of Tuscan at is. 2a.; 1200 bushels of Tuscan, in two lots, at 3s. 2d.; 800 bushels, at 3s. 2Jd.; a line of pearl' and Tuscan at 3s. 3d.; and a line of hunters at 3s. 3d.
