Mcssrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. report having held their fortnightly sale at liketaluina on Friday. The. report, states:— Owing to very rough w&athor we had only a fair yarding of sheep, which all sold well under the hammer. Tho cattlo pens wero well filled, but consisted chielly of dairy stock, and we found old dairy cows and heifers in. backward condition hard to Quit. We ouote:—Sheep: Iloggets, from 10b. 2d. to 12b. 7d.; f.m. ewes, in lamb, 6s. 6d., 6s. 10d. -to 75.. Oa'ttle: Two-year steers, £3 17s. 6d. to £4 55.; empty heifers, £2-17s. 6d., £3 10s. to £3 155.; springing heifers, £4 155., £5, £5 7s. 6d.. to £5 155.; dairy cows (poor sorts), £4 10s. to.£s Bs. 6d.; cows and calves, £2 17s. 6d. to £3 ss. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited (Palinerston North) state:—Wo have to,report having held a special hogget sale on account of Messrs. D. and T. M'Lean, at Jlarton, on Thursday. A total yarding of 7600 was offered, and every lino met with' very keen competition.; Buyers were present from north to Stratford, and a South Island buyer was a purchaser, up to 1000 ■mixed hoggets; Quotations:-Cull hoggets, Bs. 2d. to 10s.; small hoggets, 10s. to Us.
