A largely-attended meeting in'. conwith'- 'tho coming , general; mission was held at the residence of: tho Rev; T. H.. Sprott, Viear of St., Paul's,on Thursday, evening.;. .Various matters relating : ; to'.the necessary preparations . for the mission were, very, earnestlydiscussed,-. arid a spirit of great interest and .enthusiasm prevailed. It was mentioned that Canon Tupper--Carey, tho popular "fisherman's par J son,", -had brought" out with him a friend and helper, in the porson of Mr. Joe Harris, a Yorkshire coalminer, who will be, ; able to give valuable help in. the work of organising the. men's meetings at the .Town ,Hall, to be conducted by Caiion B. A. Stuart and the Bishop of Curistehureh (Dr. Julius).
