The bidding was, slow, but, with the exception of ■ one pen, , we cleared .the. whole- entry α-t fair prices. A small entry of caltle, consisting chiefly of female stock, sold at recent rates. -.Quotations:—Mixed age ewes in . lamb, 19s. 6(1.; small 2-tooth ewes, 16s. 6d.; small crossbred hoggets, 9s. 10d.; cull ditto, 55.; empty ewes, Bs. 2d. to 11s. 6d.; aged ewes in lamb, Us; 6d.; fat -cows, £6 Is. 6d.; forward cows, £4 to £5; dairy cows (guaranteed, £9 to £10: others, £5 2s. 6d'. to £5 155.; backward cows,. £3 to £4 55.; heifers, springing, £4 10s. 6d.; yearling heifers, £2 10s.; empty store cows;- £2 to £2 155.; low-condition.- cows and calves, £2 2s. lid.
