GREYTOWN ITEMS.
A'considerable expenditure upon publicimprovements is projected in Greytown. In addition to the loan of .£OOOO to be expended, upon a gas-lighting scheme, a sum of -.£2OOO is to be spent in additions to the local hospital by tlw lately constituted AVairarapa" Hospital aud Charitable Aid Board. .The Featherston County Council has still under consideration a question' as to whether the Maryborough Bridje to be erected over the Kuanuihnnga River shall bo a traffic bridge only or a, traffic and railway bridge combined. If the lastnamed class of structure should be approved, the Government will,, of course, partake'in the expense of its construction.
