SHIPPING STRIKE REPORT.

« : A DIFFERENT VERSION. NO IMMEDIATE TROUBLE TO BE FEARED. WIDESPREAD DISCONTENT. By Telegraph—Press Associatioh-Qopyrlsht. ■ (Eec. August 29, 9.35 p.m.) London, August 29. Renter's Copenhagen correspondent states that Ihe decision - of tho Intel-na-tional Transport Workers' Federation was erroneously reported by "The Times" correspondent. Tho decision was not that a striko should be called, but was merely in favour of the principle'of a strike, in the event of tho negotiations with the shipowners failing. Until this had occurred the decision would not becomo operative. Inquiries made by "The Times" show that the seamen at London arc indisposed to tako the- threat of an international strike very seriously. There is, however,' widespread discontent with the existing conditions of work.
