SYDNEY OVER=BOOMED
COUNTRY INTERESTS IGNORED By Telegraph—Pre."? Association—Copyright (R«c. August 28, 5.5 p.m.) London, August 27. Referring to an important contribution which it has received from its Sydney correspondent on Mr. Wade's programmo "The Times" assorts that the New South Wales' railways have been deliberately placed to serve Sydney's interests. . The interior has been persistently sacrificed to this end, and agriculture has languished because the railways have been built along the routes promising the best wool freights for the metropolis. British investors, "The Times" says, would subscribe with more readiness if the railways were not directed for tho further inflation of Sydney, but rather for tho development of the whole of the State's resources. It is also noted that tho Commonwealth Ministry has already showed a .disposition to relegate the two transcontinental railway schemes to the undated future.
