THE YEAR'S WOEK. ; The annual meeting of the Hawera Dairy Company is to be held on Saturday, September 3, in the Hawera Borough Chambers, at 1.30 p.m. '.The annual report of tlie directors .to.tho shareholders says that the directorate ' recommends paying out a halfpenny for cheese over the season (October and November excepted), and then an additional 13-16ths of a penny over the whole season, bringing the total -payments for. cheese for the year to 11.5-16thsd. .These payments will absorb £4646. Interest at tho rate of 6 per cent., totalling £321 Os. lOd., is recommended. Following upon tho recommendation of last annual meeting, suppliers lia've been provided with hot water, and . the whey has been pasteurised at' all places excopt Fraser Road. During tho year tho Whareroa factory had to be enlarged, and two vats put in at a cost.of £326 Bs.. sd. Mr. Baker resigned form the directorate. . Messrs. Corrigan and Hurley retire by rotation, and, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election, '.'
