It was'highly successful in Scotland, but a less sympathetic reception was given the delegates in Ireland, wherei official cooperation was denied, the authorities not desiring furttier emigration. It is expected that as a result of tho mission 'in Britain 300 families will bo secured. They-will bring from. £100 to. £1000 apiece. There will be 200 farm labourers and their families with twenty pounds*and , upwards apiece. Berths for 300 people A have been booked for October. , •
