IMMIGRANTS FOR VICTORIA.
A SUCCESSFUL MISSION. ■ By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright. London, August 23. The Victorian Immigration Delegation—the Hon. Hugh At'Kenzie (Minister for Lauds) and Mr. Elwood-Mead (Victorian, Irrigation Expert)—have completed their mission. . It was'highly successful in Scotland, but a less sympathetic reception was given the delegates in Ireland, wherei official cooperation was denied, the authorities not desiring furttier emigration. It is expected that as a result of tho mission 'in Britain 300 families will bo secured. They-will bring from. £100 to. £1000 apiece. There will be 200 farm labourers and their families with twenty pounds*and , upwards apiece. Berths for 300 people A have been booked for October. , •
