Captain Amundsen, who is making an Arctic expedition aboard the Frani,' has discovered a volcano and hot springs at Wood Bay, Spitzbergciu The beach was covered with lava. Tho Zeppelin airship expedition,' which is laying its plans for a futuvo Polar flight, has' taken possession of a tract of land at King's Bay, Spitzbergen, naming it Zcppelinahafen. The steamer Kongherald, which brings the above news, was recently within ten degrees of the Pole. THE SCOTT EXPEDITION. _ London, August 24. •■ •Mγ.
