Riddel], S.M., leaves fol Christchurch to-night to preside over a Commission of Inquiry*.that'-has.been set up to investigate allegations that have been made against the conduct of tho Sydenham and Addington Working Men's Club. .The inquiry will open at tho Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning, and will' probably be called upon to deal with allegations of gambliug, Sunday drinking, and* abuse of the locker system. Daring Mr.' Riddell's absence Mr. W. R. • Haselden, S.M., will conduct tho criminal business of the 'court.at Wellington.
