James Haytor Barter (fourtli ofE-.. cer), John AVilliam Mills (boatswain), Archibald Korrich (A.M.), and Ernest Guest (A.8.), all belonging to, the steamer Kia Ora, which arrived from London yesterday, were arrested last night, as the outcome of alleged cargo broaching during • the voyage out. Mills is accused of stealing a coil ; of ' rope valued at £1, and Korrich and Guest with' stealing cargo valued .at about £10, including watches, boots, brooches, and articles of jewellery. Barter is charged with receiving stolen goods. A man named Harrison has also been arrested on a charge of being a Stowaway. ■."■-. BRASS BAND CONTEST.
