LODGE MEETING.

Tho usual weekly session of the Kind's Coronation Lodge was held last Friday night. There was a. very large- attendance and Bro. M. Morris, C.T., presided! Two new members were initiated, and two others admitted on clearanco cards. During the evening Sister Goodwin was presented with a gold brooch for introducing most new members last quarter. Tho District Lodge Executive, who paid a surprise visit, wore officially welcomed, and occupied tho chairs, Bro. Coulter and C.T. presiding.. Bro. Charlowood was reported better, • and Bros. Oram and Goodger were appointed to represent tlie lodge at various functions. . The Hem-for tho evening was "Mock Parliamentary Election." Four candidates addressed the meeting, and solicited the .support .of the members. Tho candidates were Bros. G. Price (Labour), L.. Goodger (Socialist), W. Jordan (Prohibitionist); and J. Donn (Independent. Bro. Donn was elected by a large majority. Greetings - wero conveyed from and ■' reciprocated .by various lodges, and tlie lodge closed after votes of thanks wero passed to visitors and congratulatory speeches had been-made. Next meeting will be in charge of Sisters Cassidy and Tumor —members to give an item or contribute to harmony funds. Progress was reported in connection with tho anniversary.
