MR. TAYLOR AND THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
Sir,—l hcive been patiently waiting for , Mr. T. E.. Taylor's explanation of his ■- extraordinary siitcment made in Parliament to the effect that tho Presbyterian Church, or prominent members of it, waited on the Government recently with; a view to interfere with the course of justice in the case of Sir. Dinnie. The EeVi J. G. Smith has written to your columns giving- the statment a flat dev riial, and Mr. Taylor remains silent. AVhy? The matter is too serious a ono to be left in this position, and Mr. Taylor, owes it to the Presbyterian Church and tho public to explain himself. A have always hitherto, held Mr. Taylor in High/ esteem, but if ho refuses to do this act ■of simple justice I shall have to alter my good opinion' of him.—l "un, e : C . ■ E. INGLIS.
