THE HUNT.

The Manawafu Club wound up its season on Wednesday afternoon with a 'meet at Aokautere, -when there was a large "following," besides a large number of spectators. At the conclusion to two goods runs, which finished at the residence of Mr. S. R. Lancaster, afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Lancaster and G. Shaw. On behalf of the club, Mr. T. ,E. 8.. Lovelock tendered hearty thanks to the ladies and the landowners for their hospitality. Mr. G. Shaw stated that the propertyowners were only too pleased to give the club the use of their paddocks for huntingj and only wished that they could do more to promote the sport. He hoped that they would have more frequent visits from tho club next season,
