In the South Australian , Assembly the Premier,' Mr. Verran, who is wellknown as a Methodist lay-preacher, moved an amendment to the. Publio Entertainment Bill' to prevent the Johnson-Jeffries fight pictures being shown in this State. The first opposer of the motion was the Attorney-General. It' is most unusual to have a Premier opposed by a colleague, and Mr. Verran explained that the Bill was not a Cabinet one. The measure was defeated by twenty votes to eight. ■. i
