DAIRY WORKERS' DISPUTE.

The Conciliation Council met at Palmerston to-day in counection wnn u.e dispute between the dairy factory workers and employers. After Mr. Pryor (for the employers) and Mr.Robertson (for the. workers) had' addressed the - Court, an adjournment was made for consultation. On resuming Mr. Pryor said that it was evident that preference to unionists wa3 tho chief matter in dispute, and, unless the workers were prepared to waivo this, there was no possibility of an agreement being arrived at, Mr. Robertson said that there was no possibility of such an arrangement being ■ made, and ■ the commissioner (Mr. P. Hally) intimated that he would report accordingly.
