Her cargo -is being - lightered, and it is expected she will refloat. Tho Eastern belongs' to , the Eastern Australian line, which runs' between Sydney and China. : She is a.steel screw .vessel of 3580 tons gross, and was built in 1899. /.-'■,■'.' , • . FRENCH tINER'PICKED UP. . Sydney, August 10. The French mail steamer Salazie, 4147 tons, belonging to the. Messagcrios Maritime.?, inward from Marseilles, which was reported on Monday morning to lie lying disabled, to the southward of Jervis Bay, 90 miles south of Sydney, was picked up by.the steamer Sydney, which is', now towing her to Sydney. . (Rec. August 11,. 0.10 a.m.) ;'. Sydney, August 10. Tho Salazie has been towed into port. She has sustained serious damage in the engine-room, which will take some weeks to repair.
