Burns and Lewis, the released Newcastle strike leaders, received a great welcome from tho Goulburn residents. ■ They were driven around town in a motor-car, and then banqueted. Later they attended a public meeting in the Town Hall, which was crowded; in fact, so many were unable to gain admission that an. overflow meeting was held. ■■ Afterwards the' Newcastle miners decided not to go to work next Monday, when the released men will be welcomed. Burns and Lewis both complain of the prison system, and say a Royal Commission should be appointed to inquire into it.
