When the Government's proposals were carried out, with regard to the Parliamentary Buildings, street alterations, and the acquisition of Quintan's corner, the scheme, .including the cost of the new Governor's house, would prove to be very much more' economical than any other scheme which could have been devised. An area would be provided also for future building operations, which before many years would be required for the use of the "people at that , end,of the city, where the Executive must for all time, he supposed, be located.
